2024 Conference Call for Proposals

CDAG 2024 Virtual Conference
Call for Proposals

CDAG is excited to announce a call for proposals for our upcoming annual conference, which will be held online from November 13-15, 2024. We welcome your submissions to lead discussions and presentations on cutting-edge topics and practices vital to curriculum development, renewal, and innovation in the college sector.

Session Formats

Please indicate in your proposal the format best suited to your session.

Click on the chevron beside each session format to see a description.

Workshop (60 minutes)

These interactive sessions allow for plenty of audience participation! This is the ideal format for taking participants through the design and/or implementation of a new or successful strategy used in your work. Share your challenges, successes and insights and provide opportunities for the audience to consider how to apply something similar in their practice.

Panel Discussion (60 minutes)

With a panel of colleagues (multi-college representation is always popular!), address one or more topics related to the conference theme. Panelists might discuss their approaches to one or a variety of specific problems, processes, research, trends, etc., and share insights from their experiences. Plan for no more than 3-4 panelists plus a moderator who keeps speakers on track and on time to allow for a 10- or 15-minute Q&A/discussion with the audience.

Presentation (60 minutes, inclusive of Q&A)

Interested in sharing a new approach to your work, findings from research you conducted, or a favourite or successful methodology or practice? Then, this is an ideal format! Share the details of your topic in a 40- to 45-minute talk, allowing ample time at the end for audience questions.

Conference Streams

The conference sessions will span four streams to support this year’s conference theme: Curriculum in Action: Cultivating Community Through Collaboration.

This conference is designed to bring together professionals from diverse backgrounds to share their insights and experiences.  By fostering a community dedicated to developing quality curricula and enriching student learning experiences, we aim to highlight and address the evolving needs of education. In doing so, we ensure that our approaches to curriculum remain dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative in meeting the challenges of modern learning environments.
