Committees

Five committees have been established to support various activities and meet the needs of the CDAG community at large. Committees are comprised of CDAG members who are passionate about curriculum, teaching and learning, research and scholarship, innovation and pedagogy, and the formal acknowledgement of excellence within the CDAG community.

These committees also provide a great opportunity for new CDAG members to become actively involved in CDAG, connect with like-minded colleagues from other colleges, and contribute resources to benefit the entire CDAG:

Awards of Excellence

    Established in 2013, the Awards of Excellence Committee is a means by which to publicly and formally recognize outstanding work being done within the college system within the scope of curriculum design and development. Its main purpose is to oversee an awards nomination process and establish one or more successful award recipient(s) on an annual basis. Committee members must have knowledge and expertise in curriculum design, development, research, and/or innovation.

Communications

    The Communications Committee was established in 2018 to develop and manage this website in an effort to increase the visibility of CDAG and improve members’ access to information and resources. This committee also aims to find ways to enhance the functionality and usability of communication tools and platforms with the goal of developing a robust internal network for communication and resource sharing.

Conference Planning

    The Conference Planning Committee organizes the annual CDAG conference, which features keynote speakers and presenters who share their expertise on a wide variety of topics relevant to curriculum development. The annual CDAG conference is much anticipated by the CDAG community as it provides a unique and rewarding opportunity for members to share and collaborate as well as network in both formal and informal settings.

Professional Development

    The Professional Development (PD) committee seeks out individuals to share their expertise or initiatives the the ever-popular Virtual PD sessions.

Research, Innovation, and Scholarship (RIS)

    The Research, Innovation, and Scholarship (RIS) Committee was established in 2018 with a view to launching a CDAG Research and Innovation Fund to which CDAG members could apply for support with curriculum-related research and innovation activity. Members of the RIS Committee are required to have knowledge and expertise in curriculum design, development, research, and/or innovation.
