CDAG: Refocus
Ecological Perspectives in Wholistic Curriculum Design
Jason Shawana, NPAAMB Indigenous Youth Employment & Training
Every day we are surrounded by inspiration for the activities we do. Taking into consideration the many levels of creation around us, from the land to the people, from the individual to community as whole, and the many interactions and intersections that reside within these realities, the need for wholistic curriculum
development is becoming an important consideration that will contribute to the enhancement of the quality and impact of the learning experience for students, and the teaching experience for educators by incorporating ecological perspectives that are rooted within traditional Indigenous knowledge, understanding, and application.
