The RIS Committee is pleased to announce that Dr. Elena Chudaeva will take on the role of Chair, Research, Innovation, and Scholarship Committee, beginning in Fall, 2023. Elena is a professor in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at George Brown College. She has served on the RIS Committee since 2020, and was a recipient of RIS funding in 2021. Congratulations, Elena, and thank you for your leadership and service within CDAG!
And, thank you also to Mary Harrison (Fanshawe) who has served as the Chair of the RIS committee since it began as a working group in 2018.

Dr. Elena Chudaeva is a professor with the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, George Brown College. With background in STEM and instructional design, Elena explores ways to design blended courses and incorporate various educational technology tools and active learning opportunities into college courses. Elena has led projects on integrating science virtual labs and development of Open Educational Resources for faculty and students. Additionally, Elena supports other faculty in designing learning environments and incorporating the Universal Design for Learning principles to meet diverse needs of our learners.
