College & City: Cambrian College, Sudbury
If someone were to visit your college/city, suggest three “not to miss” sites (buildings/restaurants/parks/other)?
When in Sudbury, visit Science North & Dynamic Earth (Big Nickel!), indulge in vegan tacos on the patio at Tucos Tacos, and hike the stunning Lake Laurentian Conservation Area! 🌮🌳
If you could give one piece of advice to someone new to curriculum development, what would it be?
Be flexible and open to change! Curriculum development is a living process, so embrace feedback and revisions. Plus, network with other curriculum developers to grow your skills and gain fresh perspectives. Collaboration is key! 🌱📚
If curriculum development had a theme song, what would it be and why?
If curriculum development had a theme song, it’d be “Under Pressure” by Queen and David Bowie—because deadlines, revisions, and meeting learning outcomes can feel like a wild, creative pressure cooker!
What is one of your strategies to maintain a healthy work-life balance?
One of my key strategies for maintaining a healthy work-life balance is setting clear boundaries between work and personal time. I make it a priority to unplug, get outside for fresh air and exercise, and spend quality time with family and friends. It helps me recharge and stay energized for work. 🌿👨👩👧👦
