CDAG Learning Day Success

We are delighted to share that our very first face-to-face CDAG Learning Day on April 23, 2024, was a great success! There were over 40 CDAG members in attendance in addition to our Keynote Speaker Joseph Pazanno (Director, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion from Fanshawe College) and OCQAS representatives Karen Belfer (Executive Director) and Sylvie Mainville (Quality Assurance Manager). The learning that took place included: Stories of Belonging in the Classroom: Imagining Pathways to Equitable and Inclusive Curriculum; Creating an EDI Community of Practice; Cultivating Curriculum through Shared Commitment; and Trauma-Informed Teaching and Learning.

A big thank you to all of our speakers (Joseph Pazanno, Kristibeth Kelly, Megan Ewing, Lara McInnis, Darryl Bautista, and Shantal Woolsey) for sharing their wisdom and perspectives on equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.

On behalf of CDAG, the face-to-face PD Event Committee and Executive would again like to thank OCQAS for making this event possible for our CDAG Community. The Executive would also like to extend a huge thank you to the F2F PD Event Committee members who volunteered their time and executed the planning for this event in a very short period of time. We are all the better informed as curriculum leaders through this opportunity, so thanks to everyone who participated and especially to those who made it happen for us.
